The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005 places a duty on the ‘responsible person’ to complete a ‘suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks’ to identify the relevant fire precautions for their workplace. This assessment must be completed by a competent person, one defined as having ‘sufficient training and experience or knowledge’ to undertake this role. Our staff are trained to a standard recognised by the National Examining Board in Occupational Safety and Health and the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. In addition, they have been trained in Risk Assessment and Fire Safety at the Fire Services College, Moreton-in-Marsh as well as having over thirty years experience in Local Authority Fire and Rescue Services. Our advisors will attend your premises to conduct an assessment of the processes and activities undertaken to produce a detailed document showing the risks, the control measures and any deficiencies, together with an itemised action plan highlighting any areas of concern.
Fire Extinguisher Supply and Service
Supplying and servicing of fire extinguishers and associated signage in accordance with BS5306:Pt3:2013 and the Health & Safety (Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996. Our Service Technicians are trained to the requirements of BAFE to maintain the highest standard of competence and current working practice and to ensure compliance with the relevant fire safety legislation.

Fire Alarm Installation and Service
Using trained technicians, we can design, install and commission a full fire alarm system to comply with BS5839Pt1 as required by your Fire Risk Assessment.
This system can then be maintained and tested as needed on an annual service agreement basis. WE are also, subject to location, able to provide a service of weekly testing to help you maintain your systems as required by your Fire Risk Assessment and the Fire Safety legislation.
Fire Extinguisher Training
Not all staff require ‘hands on’ training in the use of fire extinguishers, but key members, or those with a specific responsibility, should receive training in the safe use of fire extinguishers in the workplace. TSTC can provide you with a short course that will satisfy these requirements. Using various extinguishers and controlled real fires your staff will be able to practice fighting a fire under the guidance of our experienced instructors.
Fire Awareness / Fire Marshalls
For those staff with a direct responsibility for fire safety in the workplace a longer more detailed course that provides an understanding of the principles and need for fire safety management. Giving a basic grounding in fire development, general housekeeping, evacuation procedures, maintenance and testing requirements of fire safety equipment and the importance of regular training this course will provide the confidence to managers and team leaders for supporting their staff and meeting the requirements of Article (21) of the legislation.
